6 and 7 year-olds will use Rookie League Fields and will be a combination of coach pitch and player pitch. This level is NOT appropriate for those entering Kindergarten- birth certificates are required at the first practice for new players.

8 and 9 year-olds will play together using AA fields (65' bases, 46' mound). 10 and 11 year-olds will use AAA fields (70' bases, 48' mound), and 12 and 13 year-olds will use a Prep 13 field (80' bases and 54' mound).

• Games are played only on Saturdays and Sundays. The season runs September 6 through October 12 with practices starting the week of August 25.
• Generally two practices a week until games start, one during the week and the other on the weekend.
• Once games start, practices are once a week, during early evening as daylight permits.
• Fall fields are McCollum, Randall, and Gilbert Parks, and El Sierra, Hillcrest, Kingsley and Indian Trail Schools
• Registration closes August 17, and coaches will contact you through email with team, practice and game information by August 24.
• To support our mission, each player and parent/guardian must review and agree to the established Code of Conduct and Waiver provided in this registration form.
• DGYB is a 100% volunteer organization and relies on the dedication of our families. Please consider selecting Volunteer opportunities of your interest. Our players would not have a program without the efforts of all of our members.  We are extremely grateful for your support to DGYB.

All new bats that bear the USABaseball licensing mark are permissible for play in the DGYB Youth Leagues (A, AA, AAA). Barrels may have a diameter of 2 1/4 inches to 2 5/8 inches.

Bats that were previously allowable in DGYB Youth Leagues with diameters limited to 2 1/4 inches will still be permissible in 2022.

Bat rules for Babe Ruth (Ages 13-16) allow bats marked with the USABaseball mark or "BBCOR .50" mark, limited to 2 5/8 barrel diameter.

The DGYB Board of Directors held the annual General Membership meeting on Wednesday, April 30 at The Lincoln Center in Downers Grove. Chairman Justin Miller delivered state of the program remarks. Director Jim Sharwarko reviewed the current financial state of the organization. League President and Nominating Committee Chair Rob Rooney supervised the election of officers. For 2025, both Chair and Secretary positions were on the ballot. DGYB continues to provide a fun and enjoyable recreational baseball experience for families in our community. Your feedback remains vital to helping the organization better serve the participants.
